The Rescue Van

Every other Friday the Rescue Van travels into the community to help those who find themselves homeless. They distribute meals, toiletry kits and blankets and clothing items in the winter, as well as build friendships.

Aurora Food Packs for Kids

Did you know that 1 in 6 people in America face hunger? Many of them are children. We are so proud to help provide food for hungry kids in Shoreline! This ministry meets a felt need in the neighborhood by providing weekend food packs for kids in need, as identified by the Meridian Park Elementary School Staff. They use volunteers to shop, pack and deliver food to this elementary school across the street from our church building.

Partnership with Compass Housing Alliance

In partnership with Compass Housing Alliance and Hopelink, Aurora Community took up a really special Christmas Offering and the generosity extended to their community is amazing! They raised $61,000+ which is going to the Ronald Commons a new affordable housing development in Shoreline at 178th Street between Aurora Avenue North and Linden Avenue North. The project includes 60 units of affordable housing, owned and operated by Compass Housing Alliance, and a 12,000 square feet Integrated Service Center owned and operated by Hopelink.

The Integrated Service Center will include a food bank, family services, and financial education and assistance for low-income households. An internal courtyard, play area and walking path will create an integrated connection between the three program facilities.
