Caring Hands

Every Monday morning a group of our people (our angels, as we like to call them) gather together and make quilted bedrolls for the Union Gospel Mission who then gives them to homeless people in the cities of Seattle and Tacoma. The bedrolls are colorful and bright to cheer and they are thick and warm to ward off the cold NW weather.  These volunteers also pray over every blanket and the potential recipient — trusting in the Lord’s compassion for those with great need.  They match up gifts/talents and creativity with loving care and compassion in order to express God’s mercy and grace for the poor.

Call to Action! CARING HANDS continually needs flat queen and king-sized sheets and would like to add a 10' x 12' plastic tarp to each bedroll. To coordinate donations of these items, contact Ed Towle at OR bring them to the NCA-NW booth at Washington Pacific District Assembly.
